To be honest, I had to research a blog that was related to common core standards for one of my graduate courses, and initially, I thought it was a silly assignment. After reading a few of your posts, I realize how much learning from other teachers will help me in my classroom. I appreciate your posts, and I will definitely be keeping up with you more. In our classroom, we use a lot of storyline online and EPIC books, and I've found sometimes it's hard to incorporate metacognitive strategies. I love the idea of turning and talking during the story. I think I will try that strategy during an online read aloud right before the turning point of the story or after the problem is introduced to allow students to predict. Thanks so much!
